The sun waking from a deep sleep may not sound like such a bad thing and years ago it might not have been.
However in today’s world reliant on technology for the basics of everyday life, increasing levels of solar activity and the flares from the consequent ‘space storm’ could wreak complete havoc.
Nasa is telling us to prepare for a once in a generation storm which could result in widespread blackouts and leave us without critical communication signals for considerable periods of time.

Dead Fish Wash Up in Panacea
Dead fish washing up in the marshes of Panacea has some marine life activists concerned. It’s unknown if the oil spill in the Gulf is the cause of this fish kill, but local biologists are demanding answers.

Sea creatures flee oil spill, gather near shore

GULF SHORES, Ala. — Dolphins and sharks are showing up in surprisingly shallow water just off the Florida coast. Mullets, crabs, rays and small fish congregate by the thousands off an Alabama pier. Birds covered in oil are crawling deep into marshes, never to be seen again.
Marine scientists studying the effects of the BP disaster are seeing some strange — and troubling — phenomena.
